Shohei leads CaN International Group as the Group Managing Director appointed in 2012 upon his foundation of the Group. With nearly 20 years of professional experience, his specialties are corporate finance, international tax, management strategy, and global economy. Responsible for all practices of the Group, he has been involved in supporting as many as hundreds of clients by fulfilling their needs in overseas business operations and addressing highly technical service areas including M&A transactions and initial public offerings. Starting from 2020, Shohei takes a teaching position as a visiting professor in the MBA course at Meiji University.

Shohei started his career at Ernst & Young in Tokyo in 2002. He gained a variety of experiences including IFRS advisory services, audit of internal controls under J-SOX, publications, and seminars. From 2010 at SCS Global Group in Singapore, Shohei provided audit services, financial due diligence, and consulting services to a wide range of clients in various industries and later on was appointed the Managing Director of SCS Global Financial Advisory Pte. Ltd. established in Singapore in 2011.

Atsushi established CaN Accounting Advisory Inc. (formerly known as Shimizu International Co., Ltd.) and was appointed as Managing Director in 2006. He joined CaN International as a partner in May 2013. As one of the top management of CaN International Group, he provides a broad range of services including management consulting for overseas subsidiaries of the listed companies, internal control evaluation, and internal audit in addition to overseas expansion support for small and medium-sized corporations. He has nearly 30 years professional experience of working with domestic and multinational organizations, and currently he holds key positions as the auditor of Hitotsubashi University Supporters' Association, the councilor of Kansai Regional Revitalization Support Association, the auditor of GALA Corporation, and the director of Association for Promotion of Effective Use of Buildings and Assets.

In 1992, he joined Tohmatsu & Co. (currently known as Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC). In addition to auditing the listed corporations in Japan, he also provided consulting services including financial due diligence and M&A transactions. From 2000 to 2004, he was seconded to Toronto headquarters in Canada of Deloitte LLP, where he provided audit, tax, and other consulting services to Japanese corporations in the country.

Osamu Yamaoka
Director

Hideki joined CaN International Advisory Co. in 2014. His specialty was conducting feasibility studies on local markets and regulations when expanding overseas, as well as conducting due diligence and assisting in negotiations with local companies in connection with partnerships and investments. Responsible for launching CaN International Advisory (Thailand) Co., he was appointed as Representative Director of the start-up in 2015. During five years of his career in Thailand, he provided various consulting services for Japanese companies to start business in Thailand and various support services to local Japanese companies. In 2020, upon his return to Japan, he was appointed as Director of CaN International FAS Inc. Currently he supports headquarter management in terms of financial reporting, internal controls, internal audit, and risk management for overseas subsidiaries and associated companies. He also provides cross boarder corporate finance services including financial advisory services, due diligence services, and valuation services for inbound and outbound deals.

Prior to joining CaN International, Hideki's career as an accountant focused on auditing accounts of the major financial institutions such as foreign securities companies, foreign banks, and Japanese credit card companies, and also on reviewing their ratings and loan assets at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC starting 2010. He obtained practical experience in Japan, US, Hong Kong, and international accounting standards as well as in consulting services including internal control verification and client asset segregation control verification.

Osamu joined CaN International Advisory in April 2013, and since then he has led the tax team as Tax Director at CaN International Group with a great variety of his experience serving for more than 150 corporations and many more individuals over his career from 2006. In the managing position of the tax team, he has been involved in international tax consulting for cross-border tax compliance as well as domestic tax compliance. Above his specialty of general taxation, he has extensive experience in international taxation, and based on his excellent accomplishment of the cross-border projects done in his career, he has been named as Advisor for the trade and investment business consultation about international taxation by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) for multiple times over the years.

Previously, he joined SCS Global Group in Japan in 2011 followed by a couple of years of working at a mid-sized accounting firm. Through working experiences at both firms, he gained expertise and experiences for the cross-border projects including tax structuring for the establishment of regional headquarters in Singapore and in Hong Kong and feasibility studies for investments in Asian countries on top of general domestic tax compliance work.

Hideaki was appointed as the Representative Director of CaN International Consulting Inc. (formerly known as Japan Management Advisory Consultants Inc.) upon his foundation in 1989, and he is currently the advisor of CaN International Group. He provides accounting and tax advisory services for Japanese subsidiaries of the foreign companies as well as consulting services for Japanese companies regarding business expansion in Asia-Pacific region.

Hideaki joined Tokyo office of KPMG (formerly known as Peat Marwick Mitchell Accounting Firm) in 1974. At the early stage of his career, he was on an assignment to Melbourne, Australia to provide audit, tax advisory, and other consulting services for the local Japanese companies for four years. Later in his career, he experienced as a researcher at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Research Institute Co., Ltd., a foreign investment advisor at Japan Small Business Corporation, and a technical specialist at JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency).

Takahiro joined CaN International Group and was appointed as the Representative Director of CaN International Advisory (HK) Limited in 2015. Based on his ample experience in supporting Japanese and non-Japanese clients, he provides clients with high-quality strategic services including CFO services and advisory services to Hong Kong subsidiaries and overseas expansion support and accounting and tax services. He directs CaN International Hong Kong by working with other offices in our network and offering services in a wide coverage area, not only in Hong Kong but across Asia.

In 2005, Takahiro started his career at KPMG AZSA & Co. (currently known as KPMG AZSA LLC). In addition to auditing accounts of the domestic and foreign listed companies, he was engaged in US-SOX and J-SOX auditing services. Later on, he moved to Corporate Advisors, Inc. and then to SCS Global, where he was involved in M&A including cross-border transactions, stock price calculation, international taxation and IFRS consulting, and provided local corporate management services such as bookkeeping and tax consulting and support for business expansion into Hong Kong, and group reorganization services including overseas subsidiaries.
In 2014, Takahiro established One World Harbour Limited as the Representative Director.

Hirofumi is the Representative Director of CaN International Advisory (Thailand) Co., and leads two offices in Bangkok and in Chonburi. He joined CaN International FAS Corporation in Japan in 2015 and oversaw financial due diligence related to domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and stock price valuations as well as various consulting services. He became a director in 2018, and based on his outstanding accomplishment in Japan, he took the leadership in Thailand in the end of 2019. Now Hirofumi supervises Thai offices to serve the clients in the country and across Asia.

Hirofumi started his career at Ernst & Young in Tokyo, Japan in 2007. In addition to audits for the major domestic listed corporations, he was engaged in audits of foreign corporations, J-SOX audits, financial due diligence, and short review services for domestic companies.

Takashi is the Representative Director of CaN International Advisory (VN) Co., appointed upon joining CaN International Group in 2014. He has a wide range of expertise in advising Japanese companies on how to enter the Vietnamese market based on his knowledge related to the businesses and practices of Vietnam that comes from experiences of living in Vietnam since 2002. He has contributed numerous articles to the publications including Vietnam Sketch, Hello Vietnam, Jiji Press, and many more.

Previously Takashi was involved in the start-up project, where he was responsible for setting up a local subsidiary in Vietnam of the Japanese company. Later he established the Vietnam office of NAC Global Accounting Group as the Representative.
